At present, there are dozens of pictures of diatoms on this, and on Rines' other sites - eventually there will be hundreds. Most of them are on pages for individual species. You get to them by accessing the Checklist of Taxa, and following links to get to a particular species. Below are some examples of what you will find. Clicking on each photo will take you to the name and description of that diatom (Dec 2000/ links might not work while site is being rearranged).
